There are two types of subscription at BILLY:
Monthly payment
Annual payment
Billing frequency: monthly or annual subscription
With monthly payment, your subscription always starts on the 1st day of each month. For the first month, you pay a pro-rata amount for the remaining days of the current month.
With annual payment, billing runs from date to date rather than on the 1st of each month. If you start with BILLY on 15/01, your annual subscription runs until 14/01 of the following year.
💡 Payment is always made by direct debit.
Changing your subscription
You can change your billing frequency at any time. Simply go to the Settings > Subscription tab.
You can click on:
Switch to annual payment (if you are on the monthly frequency): in this specific case, your annual subscription will only be charged at the end of the monthly period already in progress.
For example: your monthly subscription started on 5 January 2026 and you switch to annual payment on 20 January 2026. Your January is already paid, so your annual subscription will start on 1 February 2026 and end on 31 January 2027.
Switch to monthly payment (if you are on the annual frequency).
Cancelling your BILLY subscription
If you stop your activity or simply wish to cancel your subscription, BILLY does not issue any refunds.
💡 One exception: if you change subscription type — for example switching from a sole proprietorship subscription to a company subscription — we issue a credit note to refund the subscription for the discontinued activity.
💡 You can cancel the renewal of your subscription at any time. There is no "3 months before the due date" requirement, for example.
