In which section should a transaction be categorised?

With BILLY, your transactions are categorised automatically 🙌 Sometimes a transaction is trickier to categorise automatically, especially if the title is not precise enough.

How do you categorise a rent paid or an expense for which an invoice has been submitted? We'll explain it all to you 🤓

Transactions to categorise

From your bank account, you can easily see the number of transactions that don't yet have a category. To highlight only these transactions, click on the following filter 👇

Find the right category

If you don't know which category to apply to a transaction, you can hover your cursor over the category to get a fuller description of it.

To help you, here are a few examples of categorisation:

If it's a transfer from your business account 👉 Private transfer

If it's a withdrawal from your pro account to your private account 👉 Private withdrawal

I'm paying for a private expense from my pro account
