Fuel: petrol, diesel, electricity

Tax risk: šŸ”„šŸ”„ | Deductibility: 0% - 100%

Same rules as for your car

Fuel follows exactly the same deductibility rule as your car (i.e. depending on CO², the order date and the type of fuel). It ranges from 0% (combustion engine car purchased after 31/12/2025) to 100% (electric car).

Other points to keep in mind:

  • If you operate through a company: an additional non-deductible amount applies if your company pays for the fuel. It is equal to 40% of the car benefit in kind.

  • If you are self-employed as a sole proprietorship: you need to apply your business use percentage.

Want to recover VAT? An invoice with your VAT number is required (VAT cannot be recovered on the basis of a simple receipt). We therefore recommend getting a fuel card! Feel free to order one on our partner's website HybridCard.

šŸ’” A fuel card also helps you avoid losing your receipts — you'll simply receive invoices by email.
