๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป Learn more about what a cash receipts journal is in accounting.

Add a Receipt

From a Cash Register (Cash Payment)

From the Bank Account

๐Ÿ’ณ Via Bank Account Synchronization

Thanks to synchronization with your business bank account, your transactions are retrieved on BILLY. We analyze and categorize them automatically, so you hardly have to do anything๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

Is a positive amount on the account automatically a receipt? No, not always. It could be other types of transactions, for example:

  • Amount refunded by a supplier and thus related to an expense (credit note on purchase),

  • Amount deposited or withdrawn from your private account,

  • Amount received from a social insurance fund for self-employed individuals as a reimbursement of social contributions.

๐Ÿ–‹๏ธ Manually

If you haven't activated bank synchronization, you can still manually add a bank receipt. Go to the "Income" tab and click on "Add". When synchronization is not activated, you can add a transaction manually.

Edit a Receipt

In case of an error, you can simply click on the transaction line and change the category. BILLY will remember this category if a payment occurs again from the same sender.

Categorize Other Transactions

BILLY allows you to categorize all your payments, not just positive amounts. Your bank account then becomes a guide to ensure nothing is forgotten in your accounting. Learn more through the categorization of transactions.
